Description
Former US vice president Al Gore visited Mexico on August 4, 2010, invited by Governor Enrique Peña Nieto, a controversial politician and likely candidate for the presidency in 2012. Gore gave a private speech to 300 invited guests. The press was barred from the event. Mexico state authorities refused to disclose how much Gore - who receives on average $170000 US dollars per speech - was paid, and the source of his speaker fee remains a mystery.
